Biography
Cha Eun Woo was born as Lee Dong Min on March 30, 1997 (age: 26 years, as of 2023), in Gunpo, a city in the Gyeonggi Province of South Korea. He has an older brother who is four years older than him. He attended Neungnae Elementary School, Suri Middle School, and Suri High School. He also studied at a primary school in the Philippines for a short period of time.
He was a smart and athletic student, serving as the class president and the captain of the basketball team in his senior years. He also appeared on the KBS high-school quiz program Golden Bell Challenge, gaining attention for his good looks and intelligence.
Cha Woo was scouted by a Fantagio manager during a school festival when he was in middle school. He initially refused the offer, but the manager persisted and convinced him and his parents to let him join the agency as a trainee. Cha Eun Woo debuted as a member of the six-member K-pop boy group Astro on February 23, 2016, under Fantagio. The group consists of MJ, Jinjin, Cha Woo, Moon Bin, Rocky, and Sanha. They released their debut EP Spring Up, which featured their title track Hide & Seek. The EP peaked at number six on the Gaon Album Chart and sold over 80,000 copies. Acting Career
